In todays update we’ve been looking at refining the look of the site, implementing some new features and making decisions about the communication strategy for the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
First thing you will notice is that we’ve added the “Hello World” logo to the site. This is the logo that we will using across our digital communications and across the site (more about that soon!). You’ll also notice that the Nav Bar is now black to make this stand out a little more and break up the header from the rest of the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of a communication strategy we have just started to implement the basics of a newsletter system into the site. The idea of this is to be able to keep in touch with visitors to the site direct to their inbox so that when there are new features on the site we can simply send a quick email and users will hopefully be more informed and willing to come back and try the new features out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of this we also know that we will be appealing to 2 different target audiences on the site – students and teachers. We will be producing 2 different emails – 1 for students and 1 for teachers and users will be able to select which newsletter they want to sign up for. While this may create a little extra work I think it is important that these 2 target audiences are catered for in a different way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So far we have setup the back of house system that allows us to capture email addresses and send emails out to everyone (you can sign up now if you like – https:\/\/computerscienced.co.uk\/site\/newsletter-2\/<\/a> !) but there is still some tweaking to do with the styling of emails etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The plan is to get regular emails (perhaps one every 2 weeks) going from September when everyone is back to school and everything is finalised from our end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Once again – thanks for reading and keep a look out for some of the other new features that we will introducing this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanks for your support!<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n
