Pay close attention to what is being asked and the success criteria.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend planning the program before you start coding it, ask yourself these questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How will your program be structured?<\/li><li>What variables will be used and what will you call them?<\/li><li>What code or concepts will you need to use?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a href=\"https:\/\/computerscienced.co.uk\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Fireworks-programming-task.docx\">Download this page as a Microsoft Word worksheet file<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/computerscienced.co.uk\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Fireworks-programming-task.docx\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#0693e3\"><strong>Task<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Create a program that does the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Welcomes the user to the Fireworks program<\/li><li>Asks the user to input the distance that a firework travelled<\/li><li>Asks the user to input the amount of time that the firework travelled for<\/li><li>The program will then show the user the speed of the firework<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#0693e3\"><strong>Remember:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You will need to ensure that your user inputs the correct measurements i.e are they inputting cm or metres?<\/li><li>You will need to calculate the speed correctly using the distance and the time<\/li><li>You will need to output the speed using the correct units<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#0693e3\"><strong>Challenge:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create a menu system that asks the user what they would like to calculate, speed, time or distance and calculate the correct value based on what the user has selected<\/li><li>Put your program into subroutines or functions<\/li><li>Allow the user to input different units of measurement for example cm or metres, seconds, or minutes<\/li><li>The program allows the user to input more units if they want to<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#0693e3\"><strong>Success Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The correct mathematical formulae is used<\/li><li>The user is asked for the correct units of measurements<\/li><li>The correct answer is given by the program<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Read through this page and in Python, create the program that is asked for.
